Overview — 001

A calm, well-planned approach to every wisdom tooth removal.

Arriving last in the mouth, wisdom teeth frequently find there simply isn't enough space waiting for them. That can lead to swelling, recurring infection, harm to the tooth alongside it, or a spot that's genuinely tricky to keep clean. Once we've examined the area properly, we'll tell you honestly whether it's best left alone or whether removal makes sense. Certain cases benefit from extra imaging first. When a CT scan would give us a clearer picture of how the tooth sits against nearby nerves, we provide this free of charge, so treatment can be planned with as much precision and safety as possible.

  • An experienced, skilled clinical team
  • Clinically necessary CT scans provided free
  • Modern surgical approach
  • Careful, individual treatment planning
  • Sedation available for suitable adults
  • Clear, practical aftercare support
The process — 002

How it goes, step by step.

4 stages
  1. 01
    30–45 minutes

    Consultation & Assessment

We examine the wisdom tooth, talk through your symptoms, and work out together whether removing it is the sensible course of action.

  2. 02
    Usually completed during your assessment

X-rays & CT Scan (If Required)

We capture whatever imaging is needed at this stage, and where a CT scan turns out to be clinically necessary, it's provided free so the procedure can be planned safely.

  3. 03
    30–60 minutes

    Wisdom Tooth Removal

The tooth is removed gently under local anaesthetic. For more complex cases, or if nerves are getting the better of you, IV sedation is also available to anyone over 18.

  4. 04
    Recovery usually takes several days

    Recovery & Aftercare

You'll leave with straightforward aftercare guidance designed to ease discomfort and reduce the risk of complications as you heal.

The things people actually ask.

Can't see your question? Message us on WhatsApp — we'll reply the same day.

  • Far from it — plenty of wisdom teeth cause no trouble at all and are perfectly happy staying put. We'd only suggest taking one out where there's a real clinical reason, such as pain, repeated infection, decay, or damage to the tooth beside it.

  • Not necessarily. Where your dentist feels a CT scan would help pin down the tooth's exact position relative to nearby nerves, we'll arrange one at no cost before going ahead.

  • Local anaesthetic numbs the area, so you shouldn't feel pain during the procedure itself. Some tenderness afterwards is normal and typically settles with the advice and medication we recommend.

  • Yes — IV conscious sedation is available to suitable patients aged 18 and over, helping you stay relaxed throughout, and it's costed separately from the extraction fee.

  • Most people feel back to themselves within a few days, though more involved extractions can take a little longer. We'll give you detailed aftercare guidance to support healing along the way.

  • Stick to softer foods for the first day or two and steer clear of very hot food, alcohol and smoking. We'll talk you through full aftercare instructions before you leave.
