Complaints

Here at GL1 Dental, we always aim to have satisfied patients and consistently meet the expectations of our patients in the care and service we provide. When complaints do arise, we aim to resolve the issues in an appropriate and timely fashion. Throughout any complaint handling procedure, the patient's confidentiality is of utmost importance and is observed at all times. We respect the individual's right to make a complaint and will ensure that they are in no way discriminated against as a result of raising their concerns.

In the unfortunate event that you wish to make a complaint, please speak to a member of staff at reception at the earliest possible occasion. You will then be directed to our complaints lead (TODO(client): name and role), who oversees all of our complaint handling procedures. Complaints can be made verbally, by phone on 01452 905185, or by email to hello@gl1dental.co.uk. In writing: FAO Complaints Lead, GL1 Dental, 124–126 Stroud Road, Gloucester GL1 5JN.

An acknowledgement of your complaint will be made within two working days of it being received, and a brief history of your complaint will be taken at that point. Usually, some time will then be needed to investigate. You should let our complaints manager know if you do not want the treating dentist to be informed or involved at this stage. We aim to resolve all complaints within ten working days from receipt, but where the issue is likely to take longer to investigate, we will let you know at the earliest possible time, giving reasons for the expected delay. You will then be contacted with the findings of our investigation and invited to attend a meeting to discuss possible options for resolution. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of our complaints procedure, you should contact one of the following bodies:
